We offer two different types of printing for our paper parts,
litho and laser. Large run replication orders will be litho
printed and short run duplication orders will be laser printed.
If you would prefer to have your paper parts litho printed
on a shorter run please let us know and we will adjust your
quote accordingly.
Please supply your designs as Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop
or FreeHand files. If you would prefer to use other design
software make sure you can save them as a pdf, a tiff, or
a jpeg with the correct quality settings.
Litho prints may be supplied in cmyk or greyscale and laser
prints may be supplied in cmyk, greyscale or rgb colour
formats.
All designs should have accurate dimensions so they can
be cut and folded correctly. If you are unsure how to layout
your designs please contact a member of our design team
who will be happy to give you some advice. Depending on
the software you are using they may also be able to supply
you with templates you can work straight into.
All designs should have a 3mm bleed on all of the outside
edges and a 3mm safety area on all of the inside edges,
this will ensure a perfect finish every time. Please make
sure all background shapes and images extend out to the
bleed lines and all text and logo's do not cross into the
safety areas.
All images should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
There are two different methods of printing onto
a replicated disc, screen and litho, discs printed with
up to 4 colours will be screen printed and full colour discs
will be litho printed. Screen printing is better suited
to solid colours as opposed to gradients or full colour
images and litho printing is better suited to gradients
and full colour images as opposed to solid colours.
Screen prints should be supplied as vector images and text
in Illustrator, FreeHand or pdf formats, if you choose to
supply them as pdf's please supply a separate pdf for each
colour. Select the colours you would like to use from the
'Pantone Solid Coated' range.
Litho prints should be supplied as Illustrator, In-Design,
Photoshop, FreeHand, pdf, tiff or jpeg files in a cmyk colour
format with a resolution of at least 600dpi.
Designs should have accurate dimensions and be cropped so
they are circular, do not remove the centre circles as these
will be removed automatically.

We check all of your designs very carefully and
make every effort to ensure that your final product will
be of the highest quality. If you have any concerns regarding
the colour or quality of your designs please let us know
immediately so we can advise of the best way to improve
them.
Due to monitors and printers using different methods to
display colours, some variations will occur when the designs
are transferred from screen to print. The amount of variation
will depend on the brightness and contrast settings of your
monitor and also the colour calibration facilities available
to you.
In most cases a printed proof of the artwork prior to the
final run is not a necessity; we have an experienced design
team that will check all of your designs very carefully
and contact you should they feel that a printed proof is
necessary. If you would prefer to see a printed proof we
can supply them for an additional fee.
We will be unable to print your designs if they do not meet
the requirements listed above. These specifications are
in place to guarantee that all of the products produced
at DMS will be of the highest quality.
