The
Media Innovation Awards is a new initiative to celebrate the
innovative use of screen-based media across Devon & Cornwall.
The prestigious event will reward excellence across a range of
disciplines and raise the profile of the sector across the region
and beyond with more than a thousand creative industries and practitoners
throughout Devon and Cornwall invited to enter.
'Being one of the main CD and DVD producers in the SW of England,
Disc Manufacturing Services feel it is the right thing to do in
supporting such a worthwhile event and are proud to be sponsoring
the Terrestrial Television and CD/DVD categories at the 2007 ceremony'
said MD Dave Summers.
Established by the region's two major creative industries organisations,
Plymouth Media-Partnership
and Cornwall
Media Focus they are split into twelve main categories as
follows:
- Most innovative digital television project
- Most innovative terrestrial television project
- Most innovative DVD
- Most innovative CD Rom
- Most innovative website
- Most innovative mobile communications platform
- Most innovative multi-platform project
- Most innovative film
- Most innovative installation or exhibition project
- Most innovative collaboration between business and young people
- Most innovative newcomer (25 years and over)
- The outstanding individual contribution to innovation
In addition all the winners of the above categories will go forward
to produce an overall winner who will get the MIA Trophy.
The winners of the 2007 Media Innovation Awards will be announced
at a gala ceremony to be held on 1 March 2007 at St Mellion Golf
and Country Club in Cornwall.
